In a bid to boost energy efficiency and deliver a striking advertising experience, UK-based Clear Channel has undertaken a groundbreaking installation of Absen's A series LED displays at five digital out-of-home (DOOH) sites across the UK.
Absen A Series LED: A Green Technological Marvel
The installations, managed by Clear Channel under its Storm portfolio, include the impressive 210-square-meter Cromination in West London, which made headlines as one of Europe's largest digital advertising spaces upon its launch in 2015.
The five dynamic displays—North London Towers, Chiswick Tower, Mancunian Tower, Trinity Way, and Cromination—showcase over 600 square meters of Absen's A0621 A series LED. Boasting 10,000 nits of high brightness, this LED marvel also stands out for its reduced energy consumption, thanks to its efficient heat dissipation.
Absen's Commitment to Sustainability
The A series, introduced under the Absen Green program, reflects the company's dedication to sustainability. Marco Esposito, Head of Displays and Digital at Clear Channel Europe, emphasized the importance of keeping premium digital sites desirable for advertisers, leading them to choose Absen as their LED supplier for these installations.
"We conducted a rigorous selection process, and the clear choice was to work with Absen as our LED supplier for these installs. The product was able to meet all our core environmental, brightness, and display resolution requirements," said Esposito.
A Remarkable Reduction in Power Consumption
The adoption of Absen's innovative product has yielded tangible results. Ross Burling, Absen’s European Industry Development Director for OOH, highlighted the achievement, stating, "The new Absen product that we have adopted has demonstrably allowed us to reduce average power consumption by about one-third, compared with the previous installation."
