This appointment follows a highly competitive five-way pitch, positioning the agencies to spearhead Beiersdorf's digital presence in key markets.
Strengthening Global Reach Through Strategic Partnerships
As part of this new collaboration, Iris Worldwide will partner with Cheil Brazil, Cheil Chile, and Cheil UAE to manage the emerging markets brief for Beiersdorf. This move underscores Beiersdorf's commitment to growing its digital footprint in critical regions such as LATAM, Brazil, and the Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.
Beiersdorf’s portfolio includes several well-known brands, including Nivea, Eucerin, Hansaplast, La Prairie, Chantecaille, Coppertone, Labello, 8X4, Hidrofugal, Tesa, Florena, Skin Stories, and Gammon.
Expanding Iris' Role in Beiersdorf's Search Strategy
Iris, which has already been handling Beiersdorf's search business in Europe and North America, will now expand its role to include the SEO and PPC strategies for these emerging markets. With the appointment of the agencies, Beiersdorf aims to strengthen its search capabilities and align SEO and PPC channels for the first time in these regions.
This new search strategy, set to launch in January 2025, will help Nivea and Eucerin connect with prospective customers while also engaging a broader audience interested in skincare solutions.
An Innovative Approach to Search
Serena Cestra, Beiersdorf’s Regional Search Lead for EMEA, expressed her enthusiasm for the expanded partnership: “We are delighted to be working with Iris in this expanded capacity. In an additional update, Iris appointed Zoe Eagle as the new CEO of its London offices in October of this year, with Katy Hopkins joining her as Executive Creative Director. This leadership shift adds to the momentum as the agency continues to push the boundaries of innovation and creativity in the digital space.
